Soft Royal Purple Fine Merino Scarf

Description

This handmade, wet felted scarf is a royal purple with orange, gold, and yellow.  It is made from wool carded with silk with bamboo yarn and sari silk waste yarn to give texture.

I laid the merino in a herringbone patterns and then add the embellishments on top.  Next, I add soap and water and agitate everything slowly with my hands and a few simple tools.  The fibers slowly integrate with each other to make the scarf.

It takes approximately 2-3 hours to make a scarf (not including drying time).  Each scarf is unique.
