Description
This nuno felted scarf has silk fabric on one side (with a merino wool edge in kelly green) and the other side is a merino wool in sprout. The embellishments are all added to the wool side and they include silk hankies in sun, viscose top in sun and fir.
I laid the silk fabric down on a piece of thick plastic “resist” and lay the wool and embellishments on top. The silk is longer than the resist on each side. I cover the fibers with a thin plastic and flip it all over. I then wrap the silk around the resist to meet both ends in the middle and repeat the process. Next, I add more soap and water and agitate everything slowly with my hands and a few simple tools. The fibers slowly integrate with each other to make the scarf. The resist is removed once the two layers will not felt together.
It takes approximately 2-3 hours to make a scarf (not including drying time). Each scarf is unique.
Backorders can take up to 3 weeks to ship. It may look different to the one pictured but it will be very similar.
